Tourist Information Centre & Gift Shop are NOW OPEN Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm*

We’re committed to keep you safe when you visit us. We have made some changes to the way we work for now, taking every precaution to stop the spread of germs and keep our staff and visitors safe

  • Reduced Opening Hours: Monday to Saturday, from 10am until 4pm. This allows for extra cleaning at the end of every day.
  • Please note: Winter opening hours (November to February): Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday 10am-4pm
  • We are limiting the number of visitors in the building so we can all comfortably keep our distance from one another. Please follow the signs.
  • We have fitted Perspex screens around our reception desk for everyone’s wellbeing
  • Masks – All customers must now wear a mask when visiting the Almonry. If you cannot wear a mask please notify a member for the team. We recognise the sunflower lanyard scheme so please wear one if you have one.
  • Test and Trace – it is now a legal requirement for all our visitors to record their details when visiting the Almonry. You can either scan the QR code using the NHS Test and Trace app or fill in one of our paper forms. Any forms will be retained for 21 days only before being securely destroyed. You can download the NHS Test and Trace app via Google Play or the App Store.
  • We are encouraging customers to pay by card as much as possible
  • There will be less items on display in the Shop at any one time, and any items that are handled but not bought, will be set aside in a “quarantine area”
  • Leaflets and maps in the Tourist Information Centre will be kept behind the counter and handed out upon request to reduce handling
  • There is hand sanitiser available at Reception for everyone to use

We understand that these changes may cause some inconvenience and we thank you for your support and patience in helping our staff to create a safe and healthy environment that will benefit us all.

We look forward to seeing you again!

COVID Update May 2020

Following government recommendations and guidance, we are keeping the Almonry building closed to visitors and members of the public. Please keep checking on our website and social media pages for updates about our re-opening. Staff at the Almonry Tourist Information Centre are checking emails and answerphone messages regularly. Should you need any information, please get in touch with us via email or telephone.

Leave us an email or an answerphone message with your Name, Address, and the information you require, and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible, if we can help. We can send out some leaflets, free local/town maps etc. via Royal Mail. We will aim to send post within 5 working days.

Please note we are not able to return phone-calls at this time as our staff are not always in the office.

We would like to wish all our visitors the very best and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Stay safe!

Almonry Statement

Following recent newspaper articles we would like to reassure all our visitors, supporters and local residents that the Almonry Museum is not closing and the Almonry building is not under threat.  The return to VEHS of their collection is part of a wider process to ensure that the collections and the museum are maintained and developed to current best practice standards in line with museum ethics.  There is an urgent need to carry out repair works on the fabric of the building before embarking on a full programme of restoration for which we will be approaching different funding bodies.

If you have any questions or concerns about objects in the collection that you or family member may have donated or loaned then please contact the Almonry Manager Ashleigh Jayes on 01386 446944 or via email ashleigh@almonryevesham.org

For any other questions please contact the Town Clerk 01386 565700 or via email townclerk@eveshamtowncouncil.gov.uk
